Athletics day with other schools T4W7

IAlT contributing and participating the races I can do and trying my best.

Today is the day that the school athlete team going to the stadium at Lloyd Elsmore Park,I am one of the members who going to the stadium.I knew there has a stadium at there but I never been into there before.

I am getting nervous when we arrived to the stadium,I don't know what is my best but I know that I won't be as good as anyone thought,probably the last one.

I meet two people at the stadium who just sit next to me,that is the first time I meet two chinese women when I am represent the school.But even though they speak the same language as me,I still feel strange and nervous when I try to talk to them.It is embrasse when I try to talk to them and they didn't heard me.

But it getting better when we start to having a conversation and talking about the school and the activities around the stadium.I knew they are a mother because a sister usually is not coming,but I still surprised because they looks young.

The activities is going good,I usually talking about the long jump with the two women.Usually is I start a topic or the activities is having some interesting facts.I don't know how long have I jump but I think is not very long,also the discus.

I am very bad at discus that I am shocked when Ms.Thompson I am in the discus team.I am sure that Paris is better than me,she is more powerful than me.

Beside the discus and long jump,I've participated the 100 metre run,because the other girls can't run so Ms.Ashley took me to replace her.

At last,we watch the relay race,our school has two team,a junior student team and a senior student team.I said goodbye to the two women I've talk to for a whole day and went to the bus.When we arrived back to school it's already the home time. Participating is a good choice but it is hard to me to not be shy when I walk back to where my school is from a race.I need more confident to myself and more training to myself.

Mauri lesson with Ms.Aireen T4W7

IALT define mauri's  meaning to me and explain it.

This is the works I've done today and I finally notice what is mauri means to me,it is a feeling that everyone have,this is a feeling usually is what we feel to the place that we live in.For example,you left your home for one years long,when you back to your home and look at your parent and friends,you will feel "Here is my home."

You won't feel too much mauri to your home if you didn't live at there for a long time or didn't left there for a long time.Mauri has a different name as I know,it is called sense of belonging.That's how can I finally understand what is mauri means.

To finish up this DLO has a difficult,it is that you really need to understand what is mauri means to you,if you don't,you will find out you can't write down a words about the questions.But search is a good things to do when you didn't know a thing about it.

Technology T4W6

IALT make a mince pie and don't ruin it.

Today we are making a mince pie!I don't very like to eat the mince pie that I think I may give my pie to my partner.Huriata is not here today so I will buddy up with others.Faith went to Kensington and Monita come with me to do the mince pie.

I am the one who cook the mince and the onion,I think this is one of the important part of whole cooking.Monita is giving me the ingredient that we need to put in the pot and fry it with the mince and onion.

Ingredients:

• Half onion.
• Enough mince to let you eat.
• One cup of water.
• 3tsp of Bisto gravy
• Enough peas,salt and pepper
• Some cheese

Steps:

• Dice onion and fry it until it soft.
• Add mince and fry until it cooked.
• Add one cup of water with 3tsp of Bisto gravy.
• Add peas,salt and pepper.
• Line the foil tray with pastry scoop your mince inside and cover the top with pastry and cheese too.
• P.s:Remember to heat up the oven and the fry pan.

The Mince pie is made very well to me,the only thing is just the pastry is not enough that we can't cover the mince with another pastry and the foil tray is left some place that is no pastry on it that we need to be careful of put the mince on top of it.

Monita cut the extra pastry in our one and put it on the spare part is without the pastry.We put the cheese on top the mince and out it into the oven.To me surprise is that I eat the mince pie all by myself,because I am not very like to eat the mince pie.I thought I will give it to my friends to eat.But I very enjoy the time to make a mince pie,it is not very hard to make that I think I can make it to my dad,he very like mince pie.

Indigenous game T4W6

IALA indigenous games and have a search of the indigenous games or sports.

This is my presentation of my presentation and this is about table tennis,and I've set two riddle for you to have a think.I choose this sport is because I've a bi interest in this sport and because the China table tennis team.

It is hard to me to find a correct video for the table tennis for many reason like the language is not the correct one or not the video I want to see.But hope you can find some information in the presentation.

Technology T4W5

WALA the knowledge for foods in the work task.

Today we are not going to bake anything,Mrs.Tuipulotu is away that Mrs.Heka is work to us today.She is a food technology teacher for senior student in Tamaki college.

We going to finish up a paper task which is all about food and the knowledge about the food.First we have a word task that we already have at last term,so Mrs.Heka just talk with us about the first page then give us another sheet to do.

She gave us ten minute to do a cross word and she is doing cross words too.The cross i choose to do is a hard one,it has backwards and most of the words I don't know the means.I am getting anxious when the time we left is less and less.Can't very focus on the words.

The bigger words is more easy to find,because the place it can been is not too many,but the small words like neb is hard to find,I still didn't find out where is neb.The time up,Mrs.Heka already finish a cross word and she is late.But Mrs.Heka's cross words is easy,I try to cheat myself,but I know this is the fact,she is good at finding the words.

In this task we need to find out the issues in this image like the pet is not suppose to in the kitchen but in this picture they has a cat and a dog in kitchen which is wrong and is dangerous.

This task,we need to write the name of the equipment at the left side of paper.And we need to write down the use of the equipment at the right hand side,I know most of the equipment but the food probe.

I've use them at past but I don't know their name.

So I just copy Mrs.Heka who has write down the name and use at the white board.

Mauri-career lesson T4W5

IALT define what is Mauri mean and what is it mean to myself.

Today we are having a career programmer with Ms.Aireen and we are talking about Mauri,this is my DLO about Mauri.A definition should has one sentence only and Mr.s Aireen let us do two sentence and that's the best I can do.

Threr also has three more question about Mauri:Where is Mauri come from?How is MAuri encouraged through the things taht we do and Why is Mauri important.

The last question:Whatis Mauri mean to me is a real question to me,because I am still not very sure about what is Mauri.So I choose some words that is relate to Mauri then write a real definition in one sentence.

I think this can count into two sentence.It is very hard to explain what is Mauri mean to me and share it out so I didn't share my opinion in the class with my classmates.I need to be more brave next time that is enough to me to say somting out front of others.

Te Tuhi artwork trip T4W5

IALT performance front of others and trying my best.

Today is our last chance to Te Tuhi artwork gallery,our topic this time is create stories and we are going to performance a play in a very big room,I think it is a small empty conference room.

We are focus on role play and poster making.Role playing means acting a character,is like cosplay but a little difference of cosplay,cosplay is acting a character from animes and role playing is acting a character as a performance.

I am performance with Aletheia,Akih and Monita,we are performance 'The Three Little Pigs'.We use half an hour to making up a script and we use a lots of time to practise the script and try to make our play More interesting.

When Ms.Komor told us to stop practising and go have our morning tea I thought this will be our only practise,we have correct some loopholes that is not making sense.It will be very challenge that perform front of others.

Before we going to the Te Tuhi gallery,we are going to make our own poster,I draw a poster about two character I like most in a anime and I draw it is because I don't know what to draw so I decide to draw this two character and out them in my bedroom.But Ms.Komor didn't give back to me so I just give up the thought to take the poster back to home.

When we arrived to the gallery,we first went to the big empty room to performance,and before performanc we are going to practice the perform again.We have a big conversation about the performance and I even hurt my knee by shoeing Monita how to 'jump' into a pot.

It is nervous that perform front of the people,but it will be very relax if you ignore the audience and just thought there is no one.I am unexpected not nervous when I am perform the play,I think maybe is because that I am busy looking at the script.Monita forget to push the chairs down that pretend the house has been blow down.

At the last bit,we start to draw our poster of our performance,for example,my group is doing 'The three little pigs' and I am going to made a poster of 'The three little pigs'.We are making the poster by using black maker pen and the color paper.

This is an example picture of our poster,we have the outline maker pen and the color paper to stick on the empty white paper.Also we have continue our draw from yesterday!I forget all about it and when I start to draw it is nearly finish that I need to have a rush,lucky that I've most of it yesterday.

We have different pictures but our draws will look like that,just like you use the pen draw on it.Cool and fun,today is the last lesson in the artwork gallery and it is very fun and a bit nervous about the performance.

Kiwi sport T4W5

IALT throw the discus correctly and understand the instruction.

Today we are having our Kiwi sport lesson and we are doing discus.I never touch a discus in the past.I think the kiwi sport will be very fun and exciting.

Well,first of all,we are having a warm up game,we need to the past the ball to our team member eight times and the another group will try to block the ball.I hide my my team logo on my shoulder that you can't very see it.

But in the whole game I don't even touch the ball once,my team members all very good and they are just keep play and won that it not very needs me.I am just follow the ball and laughing for some reason like someone drop the ball or either I just remember some funny things.

When we stop the warm up game and start to play the real game,each people has a ring or a discus,I very want to try the discus because the ring is hard to me the handle and I have a little hand and short finger.

do you what is this picture?This is a stature for discus,I don't know why hey build it but this looks cool to me.We need to throw the discus high,far and straight but I find it hard,very hard!Because can't throw it high,far or even straight,but I am not the worst and I not very care of it.

This is fun and challenge to me,how to throw is high,far and straight is a real big question,I am admire the athlete that throw discus(not only this).

Te Tuhi artwork trip T4W4

IALT draw myself a own Tuangawaewae step by step.

Today is the second time we come to the artwork trip,we are making another artwork which is called Tuangawaewae and it means a place to stand.I think today is a very fun day,I always enjoy the time in the artwork gallery.

That is what our art work should look like,the blank bubble at right bottom is the area we draw the story that represent out culture.The middle bubble s the house we live in our culture and the bubble with green paint is a pattern that represent our culture.The diamonds in the red paint content the name of your family member,not including tou aunty and uncle's family.

Salome,our teacher in artwork trip is already draw the lines in pencil for us,we only need to draw the lines out with the black maker pen.We need to draw the lines twice that it is bold,I try to make the line evenly and beautiful but I is easy to shock my hands that is very bad to my draws.

I didn't draw the diamonds like the image I showed,I draw the circles around my family's name.Because I don't know how to spell my big sister's name that I write it into Chinese and I am nearly write it too bold.

The first bubble which is the one with green paint,we need a piece or paper and cut it into the shapes that represent our culture,I choose this pattern to be my pattern and also the story that represent our culture.

I draw a house I live in China in the second bubble,because in china most of the houses is tall buildings,I don't know other's building but my house is kinda tall and it has a rooftop which is use to grow vegetables and the chickens.

In the ends of the lesson we have make another fun drawing,we will have a brown paper,a color paper we need to rip to some pieces,a blue ink paper and a picture that we can draw on it.

We put down the brown paper first and we put some color paper that we have already rip it into pieces,put the blue ink paper which need to put the ink to the brown paper and we cover it with our picture,then we can on the picture,we are using pencils to follow the picture to draw the out lines of the picture.

Technology T4W4

IALT make a pan cake with ice cream and don't burn it.

Today is a very busy day,year 8 will go to technology and stay in Tamaki college for a whole day.This is the first time that I stay in a college for a whole day,I can use this chance to familiar the college life.But now I still need to do my technology first.

We are making a pan cake with ice cream today.I am not well at cook the pan cake so I decide to let Huri to most of them,the things let me suprise is that she usually to burn the pan cake.I watch her fry the pan cake and try to learn how to fry a pan cake as fast as I can that I won't burn it when I fry it.

Here is the ingredients for a pan cake:

• 1 1/2 cup of S.R.F
• 1.2 cup of sugar
• one egg
• 1/2 cup of milk
• enough oil to fry teh pan cake

Steps:

1. Mix well and fry 2 pan cake at the time wait untill bubbles appear on the face of the cake before you turn over.
2. Cook the cake and serve it with ice cream.

The step looks very easy,but it is very hard to don't burn the pan cake,when our pan cake looks fine,we cut teh middle to see is is cooker.But it always burn or it is uncooked,feeling bad when we are keep fail to cook it.

And it is very hard,I am bad at turn something over on the pan but my is cooked and it is not burn,I am happy of it.But to turn it over still is very hard to me and we need to make sure it didn't burn.

Manaiakalani film festival T4W4

IALT showing school value and showing positive behaviour during movies time.

Today is the Manaiakalani film festival,this film festival is hold up once a year,and because this is the 10th year of the Manaiakalani film festival.Every school has at least 10 movies had made up.The total of the movies is above 100.

I love the funny movie more than others movie.I most love the movies from Point England,because the movies from their I didn't watch it before,that makes me feel very curious of the movies they've made up.

'The wrong movie','The real story of Peter Pan' and 'Clay Lien' is my favourite movie in all the movies.They are very funny to me and I very like it.

I very enjoy the film that they've show us,specially the movies that contects funny elements.It is pity that I can't see the movies from other school's in the cinema.Also I think the movie didn't send all the movie out on the screen or maybe is because I didn't read well of the tittle that when I am watch the movie online will produce an illusion which I didn't watch this movie before.

And,I have a buddy that is not naughty and she can listen to me that I not need to too worry about she and she is respect to me.She is a good buddy and I very like her.The only thing is when I hold her hand,her hand will usually hurt my leg but it is alright to me.

I didn't found any bad and hard while we are in the cinema,the only thing I feel challenge is watch myself on the screen.I am bashful to see myself in the movies even only has one moment and I am stand on the side way.

Gaming time T4W4

IALT challenging myself and join in the group.

Today,we supposed to have a Kiwi Can in the morning tea time,but because Ms.Lilly is not here so we changed the plan and going to playing outside.

The first game we played is Golden child,We split into two team,I am the team two with Biana,Aletheia and Leilani.I remember that we are the only girls in this team.To many boys and girls are less to much.

The first game we are the team to run,nearly half of us is been stop when they are run and our golden child had been caught.

The second game,we are the team to throwing ball,we didn't caught too many people and we lost the chance to caught the golden child.We loss the game twice so then we change the game into a running game.

I can feel my leg is lost power when I was walk down to the stairs,but I didn't been caught when I was running.I had a little bit shock of this but I felt I am faster than usual.

"Maybe I am not tired as I think"I thought.

I didn't play this game,Kelly said if we didn't want to play we can rest under the tree shadow.I sat down and start drawing on the paper I usually have in my pocket.

Then,when the game finish,because I didn't watch the game,I didn't know how to play this game and what is this game about.

Next,they start to a basketball.I still didn't join them,but Monita come to us and said we need to play the basketball.

"Oh,then I will come"I said.Folded up my draws in my pocket and went to the court.

Kelly didn't says anything so I just stand still and continued to draw.When we go back to class,it's nearly lunchtime.

Kiwisport T4W4

IALA how to run more fast and the skill about running.

Today is the second time we went to the Kiwisport in this term and I thought we would doing running as our topic for this term.We'd been teached about how to run and how to run faster.

And we'd played a game for the beginning of the lesson.It is called matau maui.Each person has one long stick and when the coach Allen said matau,we will step to right and catch the stick at right.When he said maui we needed to turn left and catched the stick at left.If it fell on the ground then we are out.

And we still practicing the game.When we are played the real game,Allen add two more movement.When Allen said paki we needed to clap hand once,if it was rua paki then we needed to clap hand twice and we can't let the stick fell down.

The game started,many people is getting out,out and out.I reluctantly started to the last few person.The course of this game to me was very thrilling.I still get out by a little mistake,I nearly slip then I lost my balance and the stick fell down.I regrettably get in to the game of the game and went to the another circle of the matau maui game.

The final competition is Siale and Leilani,I went to watch this final game and begun to cheering Leilani.Siale wons,Leilani didn't catch the stick,but the game is very fun and exciting.

After the warm up and some little trick of running had been told to us, we went to the next activities,it is a relay race.I didn't had a team so I just stand by a cone.It was Akanesi's  team,I stand on their cone,but the thing is I didn't have a team and I can't go on other one's because they are no more cones I can stands on to.

But the thing make me annoyed is they don't let me change my spot,they said that we not supposed to change our spot.But I can see that they are changing theyself and other group's people is change their spot too.This make me annoyed,sad and it felt that I'd been crowed of this group even I am not in this group.

Also I found a challenge to myself,to run fast.I hate running in every time,except I m running towards friends or foods.Running slow and strength is my point.I need to  challenge myself more and try more harder.

Te Tuhi artwork trip T4W3

IALA the tapa of pacific and making our own tapa patten.

Today we are going to the Te Tuhi,the artwork show.I thought I never been there before,but when I saw the Te Tuhi artwork show,I am sure that I've been there for many times.

Today we are not only came to visit the artwork show,we are learning about it and we are drawing our own.We have family,culture,home and interest to draw.I am not a people that know any patterns meaning so I just draw the thing I think can present my home,culture,interest and family.

Huriata come late today so she didn't go to the artwork trip,but she is with us to the trip,I thought she is Faith when she sit down so I am shock when I saw her.
She nearly with us for the whole day,only work in Room 10 for the last 45 minute in the day.

The artwork trip is very fun to me,but I have a challenge for draw the symbols in the paper in the artwork show.The 8b pencil is too rough to me to draw,but I like to paint the color on it,even it is hard to didn't cover the line.

The last programme we have is to draw the things in the artwork room!I like to draw and I am exciting to this programme.We have a quick board and a little piece of paper that has been cut like this:

We are using this to focus on a area of one thing and draw it down on our paper.I've never use a quick board before but I've heard it,I very want to try it and it feels cool.First time we draw a thing inside the artwork room then we'll get out the room to draw something outside the room.

I draw a little man on the wall at first,when we get out the room,Huriata and me went to a humanoid sculpture wearing a swim tog.

Technology T4W3

IALT making a chocolate cake nice and yum.

Today is the third technology lesson in this term and today we are making another cake which is chocolate cake.

Ingredient of chocolate cake:

• Three quarter cup of milk
• One egg
• One tsp of vanilla essence
• One and a half of flour
• Half cup of sugar
• One quarter of cocoa powder
• One quarter of oil

Then we found out that the oven is dead that it didn't turn on so we went to the canteen and cook our cake mixture.It is lucky that the others is going the to the Rugby schools competition and we only left 9 people that only has four cake need to cook.

We sit on the chair and waiting for the cake,while we are waiting,we are eating the food in canteen and playing the games.We've play Somakalo,twenty-one and the buzz.I eat many food while we are chatting because I eat too much that I've little dizzy and nausea.

The cake is good to me but we know we can make it more better,but I am happy of this cake,I cut a little piece of cake then went to Ms.Ferguson's class and give it to her.She said the cake looks interesting and it is nice,I said thank you then skip away happily.

The cake is easy to make and it is not too sweet to me,the only thing is not good is the oven.
